Welcome to the Albemarle Centre

a local Charity

'Working for the community in  the community'

The Centre is easily accessible from the M5;  5 minutes walk from the Railway Station, and with three car parks in close proximity.

The Albemarle is a highly regarded and valuable resource Centre in the heart of Taunton. The  Centre  was  an  old  Baptist  Chapel  which was converted into a Community Centre nearly 25 years ago.

The original ethos of the Charity, which remains today, is to support disadvantaged people within the community, those with learning difficulties, mental health problems, the elderly, or anyone with a support need.  In addition we have a 20 place Ofsted approved Childcare providing wrap around care.

The Albemarle Centre has a significant responsibility to the local community; our customers are those who are more vulnerable than most and who need the assistance of a caring and supportive facility.

Community groups who use the Centre, know they will receive a warm welcome, will not be judged by their problems, but treated and respected as individuals.

In addition to our work with disadvantaged people, we also provide a professional conference Centre where people can meet in a friendly and comfortable environment.

We have a variety of different meeting and conference rooms for hire, from 20 to 200 delegates. Audio visual equipment is available, internet access and we can provide full catering for meetings, to include most special dietary requirements.
